Introduction
Autism Sports Club is a hybrid fitness, therapy, and social club for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The club aims to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with autism to improve their physical health, social skills, and overall well-being. To expand their reach and offer more convenient access to their services, Autism Sports Club partnered with ScaleupAlly, an app development company, to create a mobile app for their clients.
Methodology and Solution
The ScaleupAlly team followed an end-to-end development approach, which involved product strategy, design, development, testing, and deployment. The team created both Android and iOS apps, one for the Autism Sports Club partners and the other for the clients. The apps were designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and cater to the specific needs of individuals with autism.
The app allows users to search and join sports clubs of their choice based on their location and interests. They can also connect with a community of therapists and coaches to schedule therapy sessions and fitness classes. The app enables users to book sessions with therapists and coaches and make payments for their services. To ensure secure and transparent payment transactions, the Stripe Connect payment gateway was implemented, allowing for payment splitting across multiple parties.
Four apps were built for Autism, ie. Client and Partner apps on both Android and iOS platform.
Tech Used: The ScaleupAlly team used the Flutter framework for cross-platform app development, NodeJs for the backend, and Mongo DB for the database. AWS- EC2-RDS was used for hosting, and Rest APIs were used for communication between the frontend and backend.
